Moving to Muskoka has been a whirlwind. My husband and I moved to Muskoka, started renovations, got married, had a baby, opened The Workshop, had Another baby, and its been crazy ever since!!
We bought the property partly because of the perfectly placed 2 car garage that was destined to become the private cozy space it is today.
For the past 11 years I have been dedicated to educating myself on everything skin and esthetics related. Reflexology, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Speed Waxing, Threading, Oncology Esthetics... the list goes on! My devotion to learning led me to become an educator at the International Dermal Institute and Dermalogica where I was lucky to be able to travel across Canada to teach both students and fellow skin professionals. I was also an ingredient theory professor in the Spa Management program at Humber College, and most recently I became a Certified Master Pedicurist with the North American School of Podology. I still haven't learned enough!
My real passion though is helping people. I love doting on my clients and strive to make people leave feeling like a million bucks. I take a bit of a different approach to skin care and esthetics in that I am focused heavily on education and believe that people should have a chance to know what is happening with their skin or their feet and why. I feel lucky to be able to get to know my clients so well and see over time how much I am able to help. It's fun to share the knowledge I have gained over the years.
I'm incredibly proud of my husband for building me such an amazing place to work. So much effort went into transforming a car workshop into a spa workshop. I would love to share it with you, so you can experience it too. Where else can you get a pedicure with a view of the lake with ducks and a great blue heron hunting right outside.
